“Before opening Kesre, me and my wife were working in the private sector, endlessly complaining about the dullness of what we were doing” says Mr. Ogulcan, the owner of Kesre Hotel. “We were imagining of a place which we could fully and deliberately devote ourselves to, and in which we would invest all we have for quality. Since our family is rooted in Alaçatı, and our ancestors used to run a hotel here for ages, we decided to build a hotel in this favorite spot in Turkey.” Kesre is at the end of Cemaliye dead-end street, parallel to the main street of Alaçatı; thus it is in a quiet spot yet very close to the various dining and entertainment facilities the village offers.

In Kesre Hotel, the delicious breakfasts with home made jams and cookies are made by Mrs. Figen, the wife of Mr Ogulcan. You can have a fabulous traditional Turkish breakfast in the morning, or sip your wine in the afternoon under the shade of pavilion in the large garden.

The couple say that they don’t simply run a hotel, their philosophy is “to build strong bonds with their guests”. Figen and Ogulcan also support cycling activities in Alaçatı, as cycling lies in the core of their life. They start the day cycling every morning and believe that cycling transforms their life by adding joy into it!
